Stayed there last week car park not gritted had to stop a car hitting mine ,no heating in room ,only a small oil filled one in the corner ,only four little screws holding the four poster bed canopy up ,gym full of furniture.thank god their was some other places to go to warm up , had better nights sleep in my tent !!
Stopped here for 3 excellent nights. All the staff were friendly and very helpful - had some great chats with them - and the room was great. Breakfast and Sunday Carvery were excellent. Will definitely stay here again as Chipping Norton is a delightful place.
A quirky place. With a bit of imagination and investment it could be a destination of choice. Go just for the experience :)
Excellent for a pre Christmas break with the family. Lovely decorations throughout the main areas. Bedrooms well heated, clean and tidy. Our young boys shared a family room but actually had their own room directly off the main bedroom. Their own TV was a special bonus. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were welcoming and attentive. Excellent value for money
A lovely old pub with more modern rooms added in coachyard at rear, where there is (tight) parking but convenient if your room is one of these - however it's a bit of a trudge uphill back to your room from main hotel facilities. The rooms need updating, but the only real cleanliness issue I came across was in the hospitality wing ladies' loo. Rooms a good size, beds comfy, and it's quiet. Breakfast selection good, although hot food can be overcooked and dry. No decaff coffee offered (not even in room) - I asked at breakfast , and was given a horrible cheap instant one. However the staff are lovely, being cheerful and helpful, and it's a very good value stay in the town centre.
